Roundabout sneaks:

I used every spare inch of Roundabout..Savannah Shore, Navy Pier and Outerbanks this month and managed to create 10 layouts.. So…

Here are July’s Studio Calico kit sneaks for you to peruse:

What’s a girl to do???

When running and working out are off limits due to the upcoming (and by upcoming I mean tomorrow!) half-marathon – what’s a girl to do – why create of course!!!

I had a little play with the Studio Calico wholesale line and here’s what I ended up with:

This is one of my current fave iphone photos. I adore the look on Miss Milla’s face as she looks up to her sister! Had a play with paint and mists.

And then feeling the love..Literally.. I had cried AGAIN at the end of Toy Story 3 today- what’s the deal with that??? I scrapped Hallie and her still precious Poppy – including my fave lines from the Velveteen Rabbit:

“When a child loves you for a really long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you. Then you become REAL.”

I love these large glassine baggies from Studio Calico. I filled this with sparkly sequins and a large shipping tag too!

Happy Saturday everyone!
I’m off for an early night in preparation for my Geelong half-marathon tomorrow!

zzzzzzzzzz

Spencer:

With the Easter break..It seems like I have been waiting to show off these pages for ages! Being away for me means very limited download..

Studio Calico’s  Spencer and it’s add-ons were a really fun kit! I managed quite a few layouts too:

Hearts were prominent for me this month! I printed, misted and traced them onto a lot of my layouts!

some scrappy stuff to share:

I know I have been absent on my blog of late. But I never seem to have enough hours in my day at the moment! I have been very busy training for my first half marathon and eating clean – whilst excellent for my health – can be a big time suck! Scrapping is another area that gets left behind!

BUT I have gotten in a scrappy groove over the last few days.. I have a layout for Stuck to share and some sneak previews of Studio Calico’s march kit Neverland:

Stuck 15th Feb:

I love this layout of my Miss Milla – showing off her swimming skills! I used alot of the past kits from Studio Calico for this layout. I love having bits and pieces left over each month! Looking forward to seeing all the new designers at Stuck next month too! Can’t wait to see what they create!

And these are my little sneaks for Neverland. I have been on a real learning curve with my silhouette cameo this month. Alot of successes and quite a few failures too – oops! It has been an adjustment – factoring in time to play, print and cut for my layouts. I am used to simply scrapping away with my scissors and tape! But it is fun too – and I am enjoying the outcomes! It sometimes takes a little more planning before getting creative though!

So there you go.. I promise to post again soon! I have some gorgeous photos of my daughter from her 11th bday to share and a family that I photographed over  the weekend coming up too..

I am not usre how I am fitting it all in – well sometimes I don’t – but life ain’t meant to be perfect!!

Hooroo!

xx

It’s a Block Party!

Finally time for my first Studio Calico big reveal! The build up has been intense – especially with Christmas thrown in as well! I really loved my first kit, BLOCK PARTY and had lots of fun mixing it up with the add-ons:   Pollard Ave, Pioneer Dve and Woodbrooke Rd.

Can you tell how much fun I had?? Eight layouts in total! Pretty much a record for me during the silly season! Being very new to Studio Calico I must say that I loved the printables. I had always steered away from this type of thing. But they are very easy to use and extremely versatile. I simply printed them onto matte photo paper and I hand cut most of them that you see on pages. Simple enough? I have ordered myself a silhouette cameo bundle and some of my fellow DT members reliably inform me that it will cut out the printables precisely – and then I’ll be able to use the cut-out files available too! I have also used the digital brushes this month. I have printed some on photos and used some as embellishments..The shipping tags you see on a few of my layouts are new to the SC shop too and I love them – go get your hands on them while you can! I need more colours I think!
Stay tuned I’ll let you know how I go next month after I actually get my hands on my cameo!
Thanks for looking!

Slowing down:

After a major craft surge..Mostly in an endeavour to free up some time for Christmas festivities..I can finally share some more sneaks of Studio Calico’s January’s kit Block Party:

I truly had alot of fun with these kits.. Westbrooke Rd, Pioneer Dve and Pollard Ave were awesome add-ons and complimented Block Party really well…Make sure you pop over  for my first design team big reveal on the 27th Dec..Exciting…

Tis the season:

to scrap all things Christmas.. I had a play with December’s Studio Calico kit 34th Street.. I also got the add-on Murray Hill and I really had a boom when I played with this kit.. I pumped out these four layouts in two afternoons. There is one layout that isn’t Christmas related..For the Chrissy layout I used photos I had left over from my December Daily album – which I still have been working on and will share before the 25th – I promise:

I seriously loved the silver glitter pack in the main kit..I have used it on three out of the four layouts..I love the printables from the 25 days class too.. ( peace and Joy and happy holidays tag) ..
Perfect for Christmas..I didn’t get the Christmas inspired add-on kris kringle but I quite like making themed layouts work in different colour schemes??

What do you think?

I am….

……a Studio Calico Design Team Member!!!

Woot woot!

A couple of months ago I was invited to be a contributor to a Studio Calico online photography workshop. I was tickled pink – to say the least.. So imagine my surprise when a few weeks later I received an email asking me to be a part of their 2013 creative team!! The following few months have been a whirlwind of excitment, culminating in the arrival of my first kits..I was bouncing around my little scrap space as it gradually became covered in Studio Calico product and boxes!

And apart from all the scrapping goodies…(Just you wait till you see January’s kit….Scrummy much?) Getting to know the ladies listed above has been fab. What a lovely and clever lot of ladies they are!!

I am really looking forward to working with you all!

So as I mentioned..My scrap space is literally covered in Studio Calico product..Which I why I can share these little sneaky peeks with you all:

Did I mention that I was excited??
Oh the fun I am going to have!!
Whip over to the Studio Calico blog to find the links to meet and greet everyone else who is new to the design team and see even more sneaks of the first kit for 2013..

Stuck in Dec:

I really meant to make my Dec layouts for Stuck to be Christmas inspired..But I am sorry to say – yhis year it just didn’t happen. Oddly enough, I have scrapped all of last years xmas photos andI didn’t have any ready to go in Nov this year. I did kinda create it with Christmas colours??

A bit of stamping and misting which I was working with alot back in Nov. Dec brings extra responsibility tho..And for me that equates to less fuss with backgrounds!! hehe! As usual alot of stuff that is old..But there is some new product on here too.. Some Studio Calico roller rink kit products including puffy stickers.. And the vellum thought bubble..Which is totally COOL…

Plus the photo.. My darling boy..In his handmade “R” shirt.. Thanks to his fab Aunt Cindy who cleverly created this for his birthday.. We LOVE it..

Bye for now..
Remember that exciting news?
Only  days away now…
Ready to share…
